Summary Extended Description Audio Sample   CMP 1345 String quartet. Grade 4+. Approx. duration: 28 and a half minutes. Set includes a score and four parts. Composed in 1904, Soro’s string quartet was performed at Pleyel Hall in Paris on December 6, 1904, by the Geloso Quartet, to great success. In 1912, it was performed in Chile by a quartet whose members were violinists Armando Carvajal and Santé Lo Prioré, violist Raimundo Cavalli and Luigi Stefano Giarda, cello. Seven years later, on June 23, 1919, the quartet was again performed in Chile, in Santiago’s Union Central Theater, by an ensemble that consisted of Armando Carvajal and Dante Betteo, violins; Reinaldo Cavalli, viola; and a young cellist named Julia Pengean.
