This piece is amazing! it has a typical Romantic-classical style, yet at the same time possesses a sort of "Latin American flavor" due to its rhythmic vitality, especially in the third and fourth movements. It is surprising to learn that it was written in Latin America in the late 19th century; I wish there were more pieces like this… If you are looking for a classical chamber music work that is nonetheless different, this is a magnificent choice.
