This work for two flutes and horn was written while the composer was briefly residing in an area of Osorno, Chile, known as the "Población Kolbe." There, he met two flutists, and together they discussed the idea of performing a concert in a local church. Though the concert never materialized, the experience inspired him to compose this three-movement work for two flutes and horn.
