Summary Extended Description   CMP 1296 Piano trio. Grade 4. Approx. duration: four and a half minutes. Set includes a performance score and two parts. The striking contrast between a wild dance and a middle section of gentle lyricism is the main attraction of this piece. The short and accentuated articulations in the strings and a percussive treatment of the piano oppose a dialogue of romantic reminiscences between the violin and the cello; the latter in its high register, which accentuates its drama. Meanwhile the piano performs a delicate harmonic background to complete the dreamy atmosphere of the middle section. The return of the raging dance creates a surprising effect that remains in the mind long after the performance is over.
