LAIL RITUAL for solo oboe is structured around rhythmic events, conceived as brief gestures, perceived in the interaction of research with heritage cultures, such as the kañari of the southern highlands of Ecuador, as well as others of the northern highlands. The melodies that begin with appoggiaturas are formed on the basis of these rhythmic cells that make up autonomous and unexpected polyphonic motifs for the oboe, built so as to initiate an unprecedented ritual, which represents its own culture, inherited from sound particles and intervals stored in living memories.
